The story

How Audrey came to ride Tessa.

Audrey began riding Tessa in 2025, and she is the horse who appears in most of the channel. Tessa is honest over a fence, generous when the distance is wrong, and completely unimpressed when it is wrong twice. Most of what you see on this site is the two of them figuring each other out — from ground poles up through a 3'0" course at home.

Fuller story to be added — how she came to be Audrey's ride, and what the first months looked like.

"Tessa is the mare who taught me that a horse has opinions."

What Audrey is learning on her

Riding a whole course rather than one fence at a time — lines, turns and keeping the rhythm between them.
Waiting. Letting the jump come instead of chasing the distance.
Moving up the heights honestly — 2'6", 2'9", 3'0", with a 3'3" schooled in the warm-up ring.
Showing. Braiding, course walks, warm-up and a rated debut at WEC Ocala.
